Also, we assumed he was a hen until we knew we'd separated out the roosters and then one day we heard crowing! He was finally outed!
He does what roosters do--molests as many hens as often as he can. Other than that, he walks crooked--can't seem to walk in a straight line so it takes him awhile before he gets to where he wants to go! Have no idea how he's survived as long as he has. This is his first summer as an adult and with temps here in Texas in the 100s, it will be interesting to see how he fares. Obviously, he's a survivor.
Maybe we can learn something from him? Not sure just what?! Anyone have any suggestions?
